There are two main steps involved in applying for access to use EUROMOD and its accompanying input data: securing permission to use the input data and completing an online request form. It is important to be aware that the first step may take up to 12 weeks to complete.
Step 1: Secure permission to access input data
If you do not require any input data, please proceed to Step 2.
If you require input data based on or using the EU-SILC, you will need to provide evidence that you are currently a member of a Eurostat-recognised research entity and also part of a Eurostat-approved research proposal to access the SILC data used by EUROMOD. Your proposal should mention that you intend to use EUROMOD and EUROMOD data sets.
If you wish to use UK data, you will need to provide evidence that you currently have a UK Data Service registration and that you are eligible to access the Family Resources Survey (FRS) data.
Access to IT data requires no additional permissions.
Note that if you wish to use only IT data or UK data (or both) you need not meet the Eurostat conditions of access.
Armed with evidence of your permission to access the input data you need, proceed to Step 2.
On receipt of a submitted form, we will request evidence of your permission to access the input data. A conditions of access agreement will then be sent to you for signature and return. If you are a new EUROMOD user, a Redmine filesharing account will be set up for you, enabling you to download the requested model/data. Returning users will re-use their Redmine account.
